Two women meet each other in a café on Christmas Eve. At face value, they are friends who go back a long way, having started out as peers in the theatre industry. With nothing more than a single conversation between them, this supposedly simple scene explores the brutal power struggle between two different characters who are as different as they are similar.

As they string each other along on an emotional roller-coaster ride, the audience is soon drawn into a psychological tug-of-war, where the lines between victim and predator are distorted. A short play that is rich in allegory and steeped in its many layers of interpretation, “The Stronger” gets the audience up close and personal with the politics of the heart.
